She moved to the Keweenaw permanently in 1980. At 34 she received a rigorous Acupuncture training in Mainland China and was certified by the World Health Organization to practice.

She has been passionate about and dedicated to her wellness practice for 35 years. Maggie has lovingly and expertly provided award-winning Massage Therapy and Acupuncture to four generations of Copper Country families as grandchildren discovered what their grandparents already knew.  This has made her's the most successful Massage clinic in Michigan's the Upper Peninsula.  Maggie's Spa Resort is the first to combine Acupuncture and Massage in the Upper Peninsula.  To provide for her growing business, Maggie has renovated three buildings in her lifetime.
